I Lost 2 lbs last week. Shaun said he
thinks I lost more fat than that, but that I gained muscle in my legs because
of all the walking up and down hills. I’m ok with that.
“*Based on your
total calories consumed for today, you are eating too few calories. Not only is
it difficult to receive adequate nutrition at these calorie levels, but you
could also be putting your body into starvation mode. Starvation mode lowers
your metabolism and makes weight loss more difficult. We suggest increasing
your calorie consumption to 1,200 calories per day minimum.”
That is the
message I got after I logged my meals yesterday. So I’m fat because I don’t eat
enough?! What the hell?! That’s not fare at all. So today I’m fixing that. I’m
going shopping and I’m getting some vitamins and better food. Also a scale, so I
can weigh-in at home. By the way I did do some reading on diet pills and such.
No, I will not be taking that road, no need to fool and harm myself. Vitamins
and fiber are one think, a drug that is going to mess up my body even more is another.
I have enough crap on my plate, I don’t need any more. Hell, I'm trying to get the crap OFF my plate.
I found out that
there are a few things I can take that will help a lot. So I will see what my
store has, I’m hoping to get a women’s multi with B-complex for energy. I may
also look at fiber caps to start out. Just until I can fix my diet more, we are
on a budget you know. I looked up some great coupons to print out, then
remembered that our printer is one of the things we got rid of for the move. Bummer.
I also looked up a
few weight loss blogs today. I found a few that I am going to read, looking for
tips and ideas that fit me. I will link that good ones here along with the cool
stuff I find. I will also pay attention to how they are done and compare to
mine. I am doing this for myself first, but I’m also putting it
out there for others to read. So I would like it if people enjoyed what they
read and maybe found it helpful. Please feel free to comment and leave
suggestions for me. I’d love to know what you think.
I may have an up hill battle ahead, but with help, I know I can make it. All I need is my friends and family, and a few good tools to keep me going in the right direction. I'v got 11 miles behind me, let put another 11 back there.
look up e-coupons which are added to your store discount memebership card or phone number. Chris was also told he needed to eat more when we were looking at portions and such last year. Keep going with the "I will" and "I have" statements, being careful not to slide into too much "I can". You have decided and are doing it!
ReplyDeleteGood to know about the e-coupons, thanks. I'm setting us up now. And thanks for the encouragement.
